40 (+ 1) Class Reunion!!

The Iroquois Class of ’81 has invited the Iroquois Class of ’80 to join in on the 40 Year Reunion events they planned for July 9 (Friday), July 10 (Saturday), and July 11 (Sunday). 

More details and registering for the events are available at the website that the Class of ‘81 is utilizing (classof81.theiroquoisfoundation.org). It is important that you register on the Class of ’81 website if you are attending any of these events so that a head count is available. The Class of ’81 has planned the following:

Friday, July 9 @ 3 PM – Tour of ICHS High School with the principal.

Friday, July 9 @ 7 PM (?) – Informal gathering at Mister’s Bar and Lanes (East Aurora).

Saturday, July 10 @ 8:30 AM – Another chance to tour ICHS High School with the principal.

Saturday, July 10 @ 10/11am – Golf Tee times at Elma Meadows.

Saturday, July 10 @ 11am-2pm – Golf Alternative Activities at Elma Meadows Club House – Concept is small groups of people gathering to walk/exercise.

Saturday, July 10 @ 6 PM (until midnight) - Kodiak Jack’s – There is a $25 cover charge payable at the door. Kodiak Jack’s states that all guests will be charged the food package (which is included in your cover charge) and that “attending the reunion for drinks only is not an option”. There will be a cash bar. Foods are mini roast beef sandwiches, chicken wings, chef salad, fresh vegetable platter, cheese, pepperoni & cracker platter, and spinach & artichoke dip. This event is closed to the public and is for the reunion only.

Dawn (Fuchs) DiFilippo and Tim Reed will be collecting the $25 cover charge at the door for the Saturday Kodiak Jack’s event for the Class of ‘80 attendees. There will be indoor and outdoor areas to celebrate our reunion. The local band, "Never Ben", will be performing.

Sunday, July 11 @ 10 or 11 AM - Ala carte brunch gathering at Mister’s Bar and Lanes (Time depending on if there are at least 40 people for 10 AM).

Please register at classof81.theiroquoisfoundation.org to attend. Remember to include your spouse in the count if they are going.

OLD NEWS BELOW:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of our 40-year High School Reunion until next summer (2021). We will call it 40+1. Because of the extenuating circumstances (venue capacity, large crowd gathering issues, and the potential for already financially burdened out-of-town classmates not being able to traveling, etc), we feel it is best to plan for a large gathering next year. Disappointment will turn to joy when we meet again. Patience is a virtue and we can wait just a little longer. Time will fly. (Think how quickly the last 40 years have gone by.) We hope that you are all doing well and we look forward to gathering next year.

 If you attended the 10 Year Reunion, then you probably still have this glass mug (pictured above) in your cupboard.
